Dina & Johnny: St Gregory's Church

Dina and Johnny shared a summer wedding at the beautiful church of St Gregory, Dawlish. With its incredible interior, the beautifully coloured stain glass windows, it provided an impressive backdrop for photographs at the alter. The outside was equally as impressive, with large grassy grounds making the perfect natural location for some stunning group portraits.

After the formal service, the reception had a more relaxed, fun atmosphere. With the guest enjoying a hog roast after a turn on the inflatable bouncy castle! This truly is a wedding I will not forget, with the brides father providing a speech to beat all others. After explaining to me that he and his daughter have a tradition of pranking each other, he decided to make this part of his speech and created a fake wedding cake of which was dropped to Dina's horror. I was able to capture this moment perfectly, along with poor Dina and Johnny's shocked faces when they thought their cake had been destroyed. It was all in good humour, with both the happy couple and guests enjoying the practical joke. To my amazement, the story later made it into national newspapers, with the images appearing in the Daily Mail, The Sun and local news.
